Lyrical Writing for Literary Worlds
The term "wordsmithing" means more than just writing. A wordsmith not only writes, but also crafts stories that penetrates the human spirit, inspires creativity, and evokes curiosity.

I desire to use my gift of wordsmithing to become a published author and, in turn, give back to the writing community by helping other writers along on their journeys. Especially those on #QueryIsland. I call it my accursed resort where, as its mayor, I help encourage writers slogging through the traditional publishing process.
A bit about me...
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, D.W. Smith crafts short stories, potential novels, and poetry with a lyrical flare to inspire emotions, move the soul, and grip the hearts and minds of his readers. The "Storycircle Wordsmith" carries a long history of constructing compelling poems and short stories throughout his life. His extensive list of hobbies include: writing, hiking, anime, gaming, movies, music, role playing and spending time with his family and friends.
While he garners inspiration from many sources, stargazing causes many ideas to tumble out of his fingers. He served a 4 year enlistment in the U.S. Air Force. D.W. Smith looks forward to partnering with agents and publishers for, not just one project, but a career of writing.

Legacies Etched In Obsidian: Ascension
LEGACIES ETCHED IN OBSIDIAN: ASCENSION chronicles a creation story of two displaced souls and their divine children who influence their mortals through visceral journeys of adventure, love, tragedy, and sacrifice to redeem their tainted world!
The Vanishing Plague, an unforeseen astral menace devours the idyllic world of Obsydil and its omnipotent people, the Obsy. The remaining Obsy send Aydus and Lisin, two star-crossed lovers, on a generational journey charged with a dutiful inheritance: The intrepid mission of improving upon the legacy of their doomed people. Thrust into overseeing the evolution of a marvelous, yet turbulent, medieval world of Obsidian, they charge their divine offspring with sculpting their world’s future.
Their children, the Obsid, create mortals and influence them through adventure, romance, and sacrifice. From guiding their mortals through the perils of combat, to quenching the mortal thirst for love and companionship, the Obsid lead their chosen through epic sagas to purify concepts of reality. The Ascended dragon deity Fornax and his forces of Despair relentlessly murder, pillage, and clash with the pantheon’s mortal champions. Should the Obsid and their chosen fail to redeem their world, the Lord of Despair threatens to hurl Obsidian’s future into pain and darkness!
